= 2916 ÷ 4 
= 729 cm³ 

Length of 1 cube

Volume of water and 2 cubes in the end
= 40 x 18 x 9
= 6480 cm³ 

Volume of 2 cubes
= 729 x 2 
= 1458 cm³ 

Volume of water in the container in the end
= 6480 - 1458
