Let 1 B be 1 blue bag.
Let 1 V be 1 violet bag.
5 u = 45 B
1 u = 9 B --- (1)
1 u = 18 V --- (2)
(1) = (2)
9 B = 18 V
1 B = 18 ÷ 9 = 2 V
1 B + 2 V = 12 --- (3)
Substitute 1 B = 2 V into (3).
2 V + 2 V = 12
4 V = 12
1 V = 12 ÷ 4 = 3

1 u = 18 V
1 u = 18 x 3 = 54
Number of lollipops that Anna had at first
= 5 u + 1 u
= 6 u
= 6 x 54
