Let 1 V be 1 violet bag.
4 u = 32 B
1 u = 8 B --- (1)
1 u = 8 V --- (2)

8 B = 8 V
1 B = 8 ÷ 8 = 1 V
1 B + 3 V = 12 --- (3)
Substitute 1 B = 1 V into (3).
1 V + 3 V = 12
4 V = 12
1 V = 12 ÷ 4 = 3
