56 of the chocolate bars into 10 blue bags and the rest into 18 violet bags. There were 66 chocolate bars altogether in 1 blue and 2 violet bags. How many chocolate bars did Yoko have at first?

Let 1 B be 1 blue bag.
Let 1 V be 1 violet bag.
5 u = 10 B
1 u = 2 B --- (1)
1 u = 18 V --- (2)
(1) = (2)
2 B = 18 V
1 B = 18 ÷ 2 = 9 V
1 B + 2 V = 66 --- (3)
Substitute 1 B = 9 V into (3).
9 V + 2 V = 66
11 V = 66
1 V = 66 ÷ 11 = 6
From (2)
1 u = 18 V
1 u = 18 x 6 = 108
Number of chocolate bars that Yoko had at first
= 5 u + 1 u
= 6 u
= 6 x 108
