20 + 28 = 48 |
LCM of 35 and 50 = 350
Number of sets of 2 white balloons in a length of 350 cm
= 350 ÷ 35
= 10
Number of white balloons in a length of 350 cm
= 10 x 2
= 20
Number of sets of 4 brown balloons in a length of 350 cm
= 350 ÷ 50
= 7
Number of brown balloons in a length of 350 cm
= 7 x 4
= 28
Extra number of brown balloons in a length of 350 cm
= 28 - 20
= 8
Number of sets of balloons
= 24 ÷ 8
= 3
Total number of balloons in one set of 350 cm of white balloons and one set of 350 cm of brown balloons
= 20 + 28
= 48
Total number of balloons of the two streamers
= 3 x 48
= 144
