2.9 m = 290 cm
Total length of thread used if e = 28
= 6 e + 6
= 6(28) + 6
= 168 + 6
= 174 cm
Total length of thread not used
= 290 - 174
= 116 cm
1 cm = 0.01 m
116 cm = 1.16 m
