Second arrangement |
Number |
1 u |
1 u + 5 |
Value |
8 |
6 |
Total value |
8 u |
6 u + 30 |
If another 24 stools are added in the first arrangement, the total number of stools in the first arrangement and the second arrangement will be the same.
8 u + 24 = 6 u + 30
8 u - 6 u = 30 - 24
2 u = 6
1 u = 6 ÷ 2 = 3
Number of stools at first
= 8 u
= 8 x 3
= 24
Answer(s): 24
