1 m = 100 cm
1.2 m = 120 cm
Width of one rectangle box
= 120 ÷ 2
= 60 cm
Length of the box = 1 u
Height of Figure A = 3 u + 36
Height of Figure B = 1 u + 4 x 60 + 10
The height of Figure A is equal to the height of Figure B.
3 u + 36 = 1 u + 4 x 60 + 10
2 u + 36 = 250
2 u = 250 - 36
2 u = 214
1 u = 214 ÷ 2 = 107
Width of the gap at the side of the cupboard
= 120 - 107
= 13 cm
= 0.13 m

Height of the cupboard
= 3 x 107 + 36
= 321 + 36
= 357 cm
= 3.57 m
