1 m = 100 cm
1.5 m = 150 cm
Width of one rectangle box
= 150 ÷ 2
= 75 cm
Length of the box = 1 u
Height of Figure A = 3 u + 34
Height of Figure B = 1 u + 4 x 75 + 6
The height of Figure A is equal to the height of Figure B.
3 u + 34 = 1 u + 4 x 75 + 6
2 u + 34 = 306
2 u = 306 - 34
2 u = 272
1 u = 272 ÷ 2 = 136
Width of the gap at the side of the cupboard
= 150 - 136
= 14 cm
= 0.14 m

= 3 x 136 + 34
= 408 + 34
= 442 cm
= 4.42 m
