Part X + Part Y = Half of the rectangle

Part V + Part W = Part X + Part Y
8 u + 3 u = 2 u + 36
8 u + 3 u - 2 u = 36
9 u = 36
1 u = 36 ÷ 9 = 4
Area of the rectangle
= 2 x (2 u + 36)
= 2 x (2 x 4 + 36)
= 2 x (8 + 36)
= 2 x 44
= 88 m
