Victoria had the same number of purple, black and gold erasers at first.
Total number of erasers in the end
= 1 u + 2 u + 2 u - 15
= 5 u - 15
5 u - 15 = 220
5 u = 220 + 15
5 u = 235
1 u = 235 ÷ 5 = 47
Number of gold erasers that Victoria had at first
= 2 u - 15 + 70
= 2 u + 55
= 2 x 47 + 55
= 149
Answer(s): 149
