The number of passion fruits and starfruits in the end is equal.

33 - 4 u = 18 - 1 u

3 u = 15

1 u = 15 ÷ 3 = 5

Rachel ate for 5 days from Thursday onwards.  At the end of Monday, there would be an equal number of starfruits and passion fruits left.

Number of days from Thursday to Tuesday = 6

Number of starfruits left on Tuesday
= 33 - (4 x 6)
= 33 - 24
= 9

Number of passion fruits left on Tuesday
= 18 - (1 x 6)
= 18 - 6
= 12

Number of passion fruits more than starfruits
= 12 - 9
= 3
