The number of mangosteens and passion fruits in the end is equal.

32 - 5 u = 12 - 1 u

1 u = 20 ÷ 4 = 5

Fiona ate for 5 days from Saturday onwards.  At the end of Wednesday, there would be an equal number of passion fruits and mangosteens left.

Number of days from Saturday to Thursday = 6

Number of passion fruits left on Thursday
= 32 - (5 x 6)
= 32 - 30
= 2

Number of mangosteens left on Thursday
= 12 - (1 x 6)
= 12 - 6

= 6 - 2
= 4
