Wendy bought 22 starfruits and 12 pears on Monday. Each day, she ate 3 starfruits and 1 pear. She started eating her fruits on Tuesday.

The number of pears and starfruits in the end is equal.

Wendy ate for 5 days from Tuesday onwards.  At the end of Saturday, there would be an equal number of starfruits and pears left.

Number of days from Tuesday to Sunday = 6

Number of starfruits left on Sunday
= 22 - (3 x 6)
= 22 - 18
= 4

Number of pears left on Sunday
= 12 - (1 x 6)
= 12 - 6
= 6

Number of pears more than starfruits
= 6 - 4
= 2
