Number of vanilla cupcakes = 2 x 3 u = 6 u

Number of more vanilla cupcakes than apricot cupcakes
= 6 u - 1 u 
= 5 u

5 u = 80

1 u = 80 ÷ 5 = 16

= 3 u
= 3 x 16
= 48
