Number of chocolate chip scones = 4 u
Number of apricot scones = 3 x 4 u = 12 u

Number of more apricot scones than strawberry scones
= 12 u - 1 u 
= 11 u

11 u = 99

1 u = 99 ÷ 11 = 9

Number of chocolate chip scones
= 4 u
= 4 x 9
= 36

Number of apricot scones
= 12 u
= 12 x 9
= 108

Total number of scones that he baked
= 9 + 36 + 108
