Total number of lollipops = 30 u

Number of lollipops that Joelle had in the end 
= 30 u ÷ 2
= 15 u

Number of lollipops that David had at first = 6 u 

6 u = 300

1 u = 300 ÷ 6 = 50

Number of lollipops that Joelle received from David
= 15 u - 8 u
= 7 u
= 7 x 50
= 350
