1. Find the total distance covered by the two runners when they met each other. Express your answer in km.

Duration that Min ran = 45 -  3 = 42 min

42 min = 42 x 60 = 2520 s

= 1 x 2700
= 2700 m

Distance that Min ran
= 3 x 2520
= 7560 m

Distance that Opal and Min ran
= 2700 + 7560
= 10260 m
