LCM of 4 and 2 = 4

One set = 4 kg of persimmons and 4 kg of kiwis

Number of sets of 4 kg of persimmons
= 4 ÷ 4
= 1

Number of sets of 2 kg of kiwis
= 4 ÷ 2
= 2

Difference in price of persimmons and kiwis in one set
= 1 x 14 - 2 x 4
= 14 - 8
= $6

Number of sets
= 24 ÷ 6
= 4

Mass of persimmons and kiwis in one set
= 4 + 4
= 8 kg

Total mass of fruits bought
= 4 x 8
= 32 kg

LCM of 14 and 4 = 28

Number of sets of 4 kg of persimmons to be bought with $28
= 28 ÷ 14
= 2

Mass of 2 sets of 4 kg of persimmons
= 2 x 4
= 8 kg

Number of sets of 2 kg of persimmons to be bought with $28
= 28 ÷ 4
= 7

Mass of 7 sets of 2 kg of kiwis
= 7 x 2
= 14 kg
