LCM of 2 and 5 = 10

One set = 10 kg of passion fruits and 10 kg of lemons

Number of sets of 2 kg of passion fruits
= 10 ÷ 2
= 5

Number of sets of 5 kg of lemons
= 10 ÷ 5
= 2

Difference in price of passion fruits and lemons in one set
= 5 x 8 - 2 x 6
= 40 - 12
= $28

Number of sets
= 112 ÷ 28
= 4

Mass of passion fruits and lemons in one set
= 10 + 10
= 20 kg

Total mass of fruits bought
= 4 x 20
= 80 kg

LCM of 8 and 6 = 24

Number of sets of 2 kg of passion fruits to be bought with $24
= 24 ÷ 8
= 3

Mass of 3 sets of 2 kg of passion fruits
= 3 x 2
= 6 kg

Number of sets of 5 kg of passion fruits to be bought with $24
= 24 ÷ 6
= 4

Mass of 4 sets of 5 kg of lemons
= 4 x 5
= 20 kg
