LCM of 4 and 8 = 8

One set = 8 kg of pomegranates and 8 kg of chikoos

Number of sets of 4 kg of pomegranates
= 8 ÷ 4
= 2

Number of sets of 8 kg of chikoos
= 8 ÷ 8
= 1

Difference in price of pomegranates and chikoos in one set
= 2 x 7 - 1 x 6
= 14 - 6
= $8

Number of sets
= 16 ÷ 8
= 2

Mass of pomegranates and chikoos in one set
= 8 + 8
= 16 kg

Total mass of fruits bought
= 2 x 16
= 32 kg

LCM of 7 and 6 = 42

Number of sets of 4 kg of pomegranates to be bought with $42
= 42 ÷ 7
= 6

Mass of 6 sets of 4 kg of pomegranates
= 6 x 4
= 24 kg

Number of sets of 8 kg of pomegranates to be bought with $42
= 42 ÷ 6
= 7

Mass of 7 sets of 8 kg of chikoos
= 7 x 8
= 56 kg

Mass of pomegranates : Mass of chikoos
