Liam and Tom started jogging from the same point. Tom started jogging 6 minutes earlier than Liam. Liam's jogging speed was 500 m/min and Tom's jogging speed was 300 m/min. They went in the same direction and did not change their speeds throughout.

Distance that Liam covered more than Tom per min

= 1800 ÷ 200
= 9 min

Time that Tom would had jogged when Liam caught up with him
= 9 + 6
= 15 min

Distance that Tom would have jogged when Liam caught up with him
= 15 x 300
= 4500 m
