The total number of cranberry muffins made up 34% of the total number of muffins they made. How many cranberry muffins did they make altogether?

Number of cranberry muffins = 1 u + 28

Hazel

Number of vanilla muffins = 1 p + 124

Number of vanilla muffins in percent
= 100% - 34%
= 66%

1 u + 28 + 1 p = 34% --- (1)
1 u + 1 p + 124 = 66% --- (2)

66% - 34% = 124 - 28
32% = 96

1% = 96 ÷ 32 = 3

Number of cranberry muffins that they made altogether
= 34%
