The total number of apple muffins made up 39% of the total number of muffins they made. How many apricot muffins did they make altogether?

Number of apricot muffins in percent
= 100% - 39%
= 61%

1 u + 36 + 1 p = 39% --- (1)
1 u + 1 p + 124 = 61% --- (2)

61% - 39% = 124 - 36
22% = 88

1% = 88 ÷ 22 = 4

= 61%
