Tiffany made 142 more chocolate chip croissants than strawberry croissants. The total number of strawberry croissants made up 39% of the total number of croissants they made. How many strawberry croissants did they make altogether?

Number of chocolate chip croissants in percent
= 100% - 39%
= 61%

1 u + 10 + 1 p = 39% --- (1)
1 u + 1 p + 142 = 61% --- (2)

61% - 39% = 142 - 10
22% = 132

1% = 132 ÷ 22 = 6
