The total number of banana puffs made up 44% of the total number of puffs they made. How many cranberry puffs did they make altogether?

Roshel

Number of cranberry puffs = 1 p + 175

Number of cranberry puffs in percent
= 100% - 44%
= 56%

1 u + 127 + 1 p = 44% --- (1)
1 u + 1 p + 175 = 56% --- (2)

56% - 44% = 175 - 127
12% = 48

1% = 48 ÷ 12 = 4

Number of cranberry puffs that they made altogether
= 56%
= 56 x 4
