The total number of banana puffs made up 43% of the total number of puffs they made. How many apricot puffs did they make altogether?

Gabby

Number of apricot puffs = 1 p + 50

Number of apricot puffs in percent
= 100% - 43%
= 57%

1 u + 22 + 1 p = 43% --- (1)
1 u + 1 p + 50 = 57% --- (2)

57% - 43% = 50 - 22
14% = 28

1% = 28 ÷ 14 = 2

Number of apricot puffs that they made altogether
= 57%
