Wendy and Eva made some cherry puffs and vanilla puffs. Wendy made 115 more cherry puffs than vanilla puffs. Eva made 195 more vanilla puffs than cherry puffs. The total number of cherry puffs made up 30% of the total number of puffs they made. How many cherry puffs did they make altogether?

Number of vanilla puffs = 1 u
Number of cherry puffs = 1 u + 115

Eva
Number of cherry puffs = 1 p
Number of vanilla puffs = 1 p + 195

Number of vanilla puffs in percent
= 100% - 30%
= 70%

1 u + 115 + 1 p = 30% --- (1)
1 u + 1 p + 195 = 70% --- (2)

(2) - (1)
70% - 30% = 195 - 115
40% = 80

1% = 80 ÷ 40 = 2

Number of cherry puffs that they made altogether
= 30%
= 30 x 2
= 60
