Multiples of 7: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49

The total number of mangosteens given to the 9 friends is the multiples of 9 since there were 9 friends.
Multiples of 9: 9, 18, 27, 36, 45

The total number of mangosteens is the multiples of 9 with an added 4 mangosteens since Julie ate 4 mangosteens.
Multiples of 9 (+4): 13, 22, 31, 40, 49

Number of mangosteens that Julie bought = 49
