Olivia bought some bags of persimmons. Each bag contained 9 persimmons. The total number of persimmons Olivia bought was less than 50. Olivia ate 3 persimmons and gave the rest equally to her 7 friends.

The total number of persimmons is the multiples of 9 since each bag contained 9 persimmons.
Multiples of 9: 9, 18, 27, 36, 45

The total number of persimmons given to the 7 friends is the multiples of 7 since there were 7 friends.
Multiples of 7: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49

The total number of persimmons is the multiples of 7 with an added 3 persimmons since Olivia ate 3 persimmons.
Multiples of 7 (+3): 10, 17, 24, 31, 38, 45, 52

Number of persimmons that Olivia bought = 45
