Tammy bought some bags of persimmons. Each bag contained 9 persimmons. The total number of persimmons Tammy bought was less than 60. Tammy ate 5 persimmons and gave the rest equally to her 7 friends.

The total number of persimmons is the multiples of 9 since each bag contained 9 persimmons.
Multiples of 9: 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54

The total number of persimmons given to the 7 friends is the multiples of 7 since there were 7 friends.
Multiples of 7: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56

The total number of persimmons is the multiples of 7 with an added 5 persimmons since Tammy ate 5 persimmons.
Multiples of 7 (+5): 12, 19, 26, 33, 40, 47, 54, 61

Number of persimmons that Tammy bought = 54
