Jade had to sew 156 dresses. She sewed 7 dresses each day from Monday to Friday and 10 each day on Saturday and Sunday. Starting on a Thursday, on which day of the week did Jade finish sewing all the dresses? Give your answer in number. (Eg Mon = 1)
Number of weekdays that Jade sewed on the first week = 2

Number of dresses that Jade completed for from Thursday to Sunday on the first week
= 2 x 7 + 2 x 10 
= 14 + 20
= 34

Number of dresses left to sew
= 156 - 34
= 122

Number of dresses that Jade could sew per week from second week onwards
= 5 x 7 + 2 x 10
= 35 + 20
= 55

Number of weeks that Jade needed to sew 122 dresses
= 122 ÷ 55
= 2 r 12

Number of days that Jade needed to sew 12 dresses
= 12 ÷ 7
= 1 r 5

Jade needed 1 more day to finish sewing the remaining 5 dresses.
