Number of skirts that Gillian completed for from Monday to Sunday on the first week
= 5 x 8 + 2 x 13 
= 40 + 26
= 66

Number of skirts left to sew
= 146 - 66
= 80

Number of skirts that Gillian could sew per week from second week onwards
= 5 x 8 + 2 x 13
= 40 + 26
= 66

Number of weeks that Gillian needed to sew 80 skirts
= 80 ÷ 66
= 1 r 14

Number of days that Gillian needed to sew 14 skirts
= 14 ÷ 8
= 1 r 6

Gillian needed 1 more day to finish sewing the remaining 6 skirts.
