They collected $3 for a small cup of coke and $6 for a big cup of coke.

The table shows the number of cups sold by three of the teams.

3. Team S sold as many cups of coke as Team P but collected $15 more. How many big cups of coke did Team S sell?

Amount collected by Team Q
= 11 x 3 + 9 x 6
= 33 + 54
= $87

Amount collected by Team R
= 7 x 3 + 10 x 6
= 21 + 60
= $81

Team Q collected the most money.

Since Team S and Team P sold the same number of cups but Team P collected $15 more, it means that Team S sold more big cups than Team P.

Difference in the total amount collected between Team S and Team P = $15

Difference in the amount collected for every one extra big cup sold by Team S
= 6 - 3
= $3

Number of extra big cups sold by Team S
= 15 ÷ 3
= 5

Number of big cups sold by Team S
= 2 + 5
= 7
