They collected $6 for a small cup of iced milo and $8 for a big cup of iced milo.

The table shows the number of cups sold by three of the teams.

3. Team U sold as many cups of iced milo as Team W but collected $6 less. How many small cups of iced milo did Team W sell?

= $106

Amount collected by Team U
= 13 x 6 + 8 x 8
= 78 + 64
= $142

Amount collected by Team V
= 10 x 6 + 10 x 8
= 60 + 80
= $140

Team T collected the least money.

Since Team U and Team W sold the same number of cups but Team U collected $6 less, it means that Team W sold more big cups than Team U.

Difference in the total amount collected between Team U and Team W = $6

Difference in the amount collected for every one extra big cup sold by Team W
= 8 - 6
= $2

Number of extra big cups sold by Team W
= 6 ÷ 2
= 3

Number of small cups sold by Team W
= 13 - 3
= 10
