They collected $6 for a small cup of hot chocolate and $10 for a big cup of hot chocolate.

The table shows the number of cups sold by three of the teams.

3. Team H sold as many cups of hot chocolate as Team E but collected $16 more. How many big cups of hot chocolate did Team H sell?

Amount collected by Team F
= 11 x 6 + 9 x 10
= 66 + 90
= $156

Amount collected by Team G
= 7 x 6 + 11 x 10
= 42 + 110
= $152

Team F collected the most money.

Since Team H and Team E sold the same number of cups but Team E collected $16 more, it means that Team H sold more big cups than Team E.

Difference in the amount collected for every one extra big cup sold by Team H
= 10 - 6
= $4

Number of extra big cups sold by Team H
= 16 ÷ 4
= 4

Number of big cups sold by Team H
= 2 + 4
= 6
