They collected $4 for a small cup of soda and $8 for a big cup of soda.

The table shows the number of cups sold by three of the teams.

3. Team V sold as many cups of soda as Team S but collected $8 more. How many big cups of soda did Team V sell?

= $88

Amount collected by Team T
= 13 x 4 + 8 x 8
= 52 + 64
= $116

Amount collected by Team U
= 6 x 4 + 11 x 8
= 24 + 88
= $112

Team T collected the most money.

Since Team V and Team S sold the same number of cups but Team S collected $8 more, it means that Team V sold more big cups than Team S.

Difference in the total amount collected between Team V and Team S = $8

Difference in the amount collected for every one extra big cup sold by Team V
= 8 - 4
= $4

Number of extra big cups sold by Team V
= 8 ÷ 4
= 2

Number of big cups sold by Team V
= 3 + 2
= 5
