They collected $6 for a small cup of hot chocolate and $10 for a big cup of hot chocolate.

The table shows the number of cups sold by three of the teams.

= 84 + 90
= $174

Amount collected by Team W
= 8 x 6 + 10 x 10
= 48 + 100
= $148

Since Team X and Team U sold the same number of cups but Team U collected $24 more, it means that Team X sold more big cups than Team U.

Difference in the total amount collected between Team X and Team U = $24

Difference in the amount collected for every one extra big cup sold by Team X
= 10 - 6
= $4

Number of extra big cups sold by Team X
= 24 ÷ 4
= 6

Number of big cups sold by Team X
= 3 + 6
= 9
