They collected $5 for a small cup of soda and $8 for a big cup of soda.

The table shows the number of cups sold by three of the teams.

3. Team J sold as many cups of soda as Team L but collected $15 less. How many small cups of soda did Team L sell?

= $107

Amount collected by Team J
= 14 x 5 + 6 x 8
= 70 + 48
= $118

Amount collected by Team K
= 7 x 5 + 10 x 8
= 35 + 80
= $115

Team H collected the least money.

Since Team J and Team L sold the same number of cups but Team J collected $15 less, it means that Team L sold more big cups than Team J.

Difference in the total amount collected between Team J and Team L = $15

Difference in the amount collected for every one extra big cup sold by Team L
= 8 - 5
= $3

Number of extra big cups sold by Team L
= 15 ÷ 3
= 5

Number of small cups sold by Team L
= 14 - 5
= 9
