Shannon baked some muffins. She gave ²₅ of the muffins to her friends and 60 to her relatives. She was left with ⁷₂₀ of the muffins. She packed these into 10 boxes. Some boxes contained 6 muffins while the rest contained 10 muffins.

1. How many muffins were packed into the 10 boxes?
2. How many boxes contained 10 muffins?

Fraction of the muffins given to her relatives
= 1 - ²₅ - ⁷₂₀

= 1 - ⁸₂₀ - ⁷₂₀
= ⁵₂₀

Number of muffins that Shannon gave to her relatives = 5 u

5 u = 60

1 u = 60 ÷ 5 = 12

Number of muffins that were packed in 10 boxes
= 7 u
= 7 x 12
= 84

Number of muffins that were packed in 10 boxes = 84

If all the muffins are packed in boxes of 10, the number of muffins needed
= 10 x 10
= 100

= 10 - 4
= 6
