Cost of 3 skirts
= 3 x 1 u

Cost of 1 jumpsuit = 2 u

= ¹₄₀

¹₈ of her money = 5 u
⁷₈ of her money = 7 x 5 u = 35 u

Jade's remaining money = 35 u

Cost of the ring
= ³₄ x 35 u
= 26.25 u

Amount that Jade spent more on the ring than on the 3 skirts
= 26.25 u - 3 u
= 23.25 u

23.25 u = 255.75

1 u = 255.75 ÷ 23.25 = 11

⁸₈ of her money = 8 x 5 u = 40 u
