Cost of 5 dresses
= 5 x 1 u
= 5 u

Cost of 1 vest = 2 u

Cost of 1 vest and 5 dresses
= 2 u + 5 u
= 7 u

Fraction of Yen's money spent on each dress
= ¹₇ x ¹₉
= ¹₆₃

¹₉ of her money = 7 u
⁸₉ of her money = 8 x 7 u = 56 u

Yen's remaining money = 56 u

Cost of the bracelet
= ²₅ x 56 u
= 22.4 u

Amount that Yen spent more on the bracelet than on the 5 dresses
= 22.4 u - 5 u
= 17.4 u

17.4 u = 226.2

1 u = 226.2 ÷ 17.4 = 13

⁹₉ of her money = 9 x 7 u = 63 u

= 63 u
