Cost of 2 coats
= 2 x 1 u
= 2 u

Cost of 1 blazer = 3 u

Cost of 1 blazer and 2 coats
= 3 u + 2 u
= 5 u

Fraction of Dana's money spent on each coat
= ¹₅ x ¹₅
= ¹₂₅

¹₅ of her money = 5 u
⁴₅ of her money = 4 x 5 u = 20 u

Dana's remaining money = 20 u

Cost of the bracelet
= ¹₄ x 20 u
= 5 u

Amount that Dana spent more on the bracelet than on the 2 coats
= 5 u - 2 u
= 3 u

3 u = 51

1 u = 51 ÷ 3 = 17

⁵₅ of her money = 5 x 5 u = 25 u

Amount that Dana had at first
= 25 u
= 25 x 17
