Cost of 4 shirts
= 4 x 1 u
= 4 u

Cost of 1 jumpsuit = 3 u

Cost of 1 jumpsuit and 4 shirts
= 3 u + 4 u
= 7 u

Fraction of Wendy's money spent on each shirt
= ¹₇ x ¹₅
= ¹₃₅

¹₅ of her money = 7 u
⁴₅ of her money = 4 x 7 u = 28 u

Wendy's remaining money = 28 u

Cost of the ring
= ³₇ x 28 u
= 12 u

Amount that Wendy spent more on the ring than on the 4 shirts
= 12 u - 4 u
= 8 u

8 u = 136

1 u = 136 ÷ 8 = 17

⁵₅ of her money = 5 x 7 u = 35 u
