Cost of 2 dresses
= 2 x 1 u
= 2 u

Cost of 1 jumpsuit = 2 u

Cost of 1 jumpsuit and 2 dresses
= 2 u + 2 u

Fraction of Zoe's money spent on each dress
= ¹₄ x ¹₅
= ¹₂₀

¹₅ of her money = 4 u
⁴₅ of her money = 4 x 4 u = 16 u

Zoe's remaining money = 16 u

Cost of the ring
= ¹₄ x 16 u
= 4 u

Amount that Zoe spent more on the ring than on the 2 dresses
= 4 u - 2 u
= 2 u

2 u = 20

1 u = 20 ÷ 2 = 10

⁵₅ of her money = 5 x 4 u = 20 u

Amount that Zoe had at first
