Cost of 5 blazers
= 5 x 1 u
= 5 u

Cost of 1 vest = 2 u

Cost of 1 vest and 5 blazers
= 2 u + 5 u

Fraction of Linda's money spent on each blazer
= ¹₇ x ¹₄
= ¹₂₈

¹₄ of her money = 7 u
³₄ of her money = 3 x 7 u = 21 u

Linda's remaining money = 21 u

Cost of the bracelet
= ⁵₆ x 21 u
= 17.5 u

Amount that Linda spent more on the bracelet than on the 5 blazers
= 17.5 u - 5 u
= 12.5 u

12.5 u = 212.5

1 u = 212.5 ÷ 12.5 = 17

⁴₄ of her money = 4 x 7 u = 28 u
