Three boys, Rio, Max and Ace had the same number of notes. Rio and Max each had of mix of $20-notes and $10-notes. Rio had 6 $10-notes while Max had 11 $10-notes. Ace had only $20-notes.

1. Of the three boys, who had the most money? 
2. What was the difference in the total value of Rio and Max's notes? 
3. Max used all his $20-notes to buy a present. He then had $410 less than Ace. How many $20-notes did Ace have?

The three boys had the same number of notes.
$10-notes have a lower denomination than $20-notes.

Since Ace had only $20-notes, he had the most money.

(b)
Difference in the number of notes of different values
= 11 - 6
= 5

Difference in the value of $20-notes and $10-notes
= 20 - 10
= $10

Difference in the total value of Rio's and Max's notes
= 5 x 10
= $50

(c)
Value of $10-notes that Max had left
= 11 x 10
= $110

Total value that Ace had
= 410 + 110
= $520

Number of $20-notes that Ace had
= 520 ÷ 20
= 26
