= 20 - 14
= 6
Difference in the value of $10-notes and $2-notes

Difference in the total value of Sam's and Ray's notes
= 6 x 8
= $48

= 20 x 2
= $40
Total value that Ian had
= 240 + 40
= $280
Number of $10-notes that Ian had
= 280 ÷ 10
= 28
