The 1st book is at 25% discount.
The 2nd book is at 35% discount.
The price of the 2nd book should be equal or lower than the price of the 1st book.

Sabrina and Albert each bought two books at the sale.

1. Sabrina's books were priced at $6 and $18. How much did she pay for them?
2. Albert paid a total of $52.65 for his two books. He paid $5.85 more for the 1st book than the 2nd book. What was the price of the 2nd book before discount?

1 u = 46.80 ÷ 2 = 23.40

Sale price of the 2nd book = $23.40

65% of the price = $23.40
100% of the price = ^23.40₆₅ x 100 = $36

Selling price of the 2nd book before discount = $36
