The number of boys in both clubs is the same. Make the numerators the same. LCM of 2 and 1 is 2. 

2x15x1 of the members in Chess Club = 1x24x2 of the members in Literary Club
25of the members in Chess Club = 28 of the members in Literary Club

Number of more girls in Literary Club than Chess Club
= 6 u - 3 u
= 3 u

3 u = 18

1 u = 18 ÷ 3 = 6

Total number of girls
= 3 u + 6 u
= 9 u
= 9 x 6
= 54
